Speakeasy Brewery

I ended up at Speakeasy Brewery last Friday for Happy Hour and despite the sketchy neighborhood (Hunter's Point) it was a pretty cool place. It had a very laid back vibe; think warehouse full of kegs, $3 draft beer, and free popcorn. The only thing I couldn't understand was why so many parent's brought their small children, it instantly reminded me of Sweet Home Alabama, "You have a baby...in a BAR!"

Print and Pattern

Our condo has been in construction mode the last few weeks and now we are down to the final redecorating details. This chair does not fit the style of our house, but I absolutely love the pattern...wishing I could buy a throw pillow instead!

Tile Transformation

{Before: A very cluttered and boring kitchen}

{The Tile: We selected 3 separate patterns and pieced them all together}

{The finished product: Our beautiful backsplash and very clean kitchen}

Technically this was not a DIY project, but I do believe that if you had a lot of time and patience it would be possible. Instead, we enlisted our amazing contractor to do the dirty work, and he finished in only 3 days! I was amazed at the transformation and SO happy with our new kitchen. It makes me want to spend even more time cooking and baking!

Gelato

I have been a huge fan of Gelato ever since I studied abroad in Italy 4 years ago. I love the variety of flavors, rich texture, and colorful spoons. I was sooo happy to get yummy Gelato in North Beach this weekend, but choosing wasnt easy...I finally settled on Strawberry and Banana.

Daisy Chain

I made Lemon Cupcakes for a coworkers birthday and decided to practice making buttercream flowers. After many attempts, I finally got these Daisy's right!

Stylish Sierra

For those of you who don't know my dog, let me explain. Sierra is a rescue dog who is terrified of pretty much everything. The fact that she is casually sleeping on Ian says a lot about how much she has changed. I couldn't resist trying my glasses on her and I was quite surprised when she didn't even move. Isn't she adorable?

Kenwood Taco Truck

A trip to the wine country is never complete without trying to track down the infamous Taco Truck. He doesn't work on Sunday's or Monday's and often shows up late or leaves early, so actually getting the burrito I had been craving was a huge treat. This was Ian's first successful trip to the taco truck and it didn't disappoint. If you are ever passing Dunbar road on Highway 12 near Kenwood and you see a taco truck, stop...you wont regret it!
